The biggest Honda Meet in Europe: my 2018 experience

The Honda Euro Meet 2018 was a piece of heaven I found in France, at Clastres Circuit, in the summer of that year. They say we are all different, and that’s a good thing. We find our passions in different things, special places, or moments. It’s what makes us unique. And when it comes to our passions, it’s what makes the world go round. The event, the biggest of its kind in Europe, brings together Honda fans from all around the world to share the same passion.

Ever been in heaven?

You know that unique place where everything around you is perfect? Where your favorite people and cars in the world surrounding you? Well, that’s what HEM felt like. This whole experience is Adrien’s, a man whose love for Honda is so immense that he manages to create this one-of-a-kind place every year. The energy was palpable. The air buzzed with the sound of exhausts, the smell of burnt rubber, and everyone’s excitement. Seeing a sea of Civics, Integras, and Preludes—some in perfect condition, others heavily modified—was simply unforgettable.

The legends of the Honda Euro Meet 2018

What made Honda Euro Meet 2018 so special and unique was the presence of some true legends. Tatsuru Ichishima, the founder of Spoon Sports, was there. His name is sacred to any Honda enthusiast. We also saw Honda Pro Jason, arguably the most famous Honda vlogger in the world, who brought his own energy to the event.

But the biggest moment of all was a historic premiere: Spoon Sports brought a highly-modified NSX NA1 to Europe for its worldwide debut. Seeing that legend in person was a moment I’ll never forget. This event showed HEM is not just a local meetup, but a globally recognized stage for the Honda community.honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018 honda euro meet 2018

It’s a family of madmen

What truly makes the Honda Euro Meet a piece of heaven isn’t just the cars. It’s the people. It’s a family. We may come from different countries, but we’re all connected by that same simple passion. We walked around for hours, taking photos and talking about everything from suspension setups to engine swaps. To an outsider, you might think we’re a bunch of madmen. But we get it. We understand each other.

There’s nothing quite like being at the track and watching a clean EK9 hit the perfect line. It’s that shared passion that makes this event a genuine community.

What it’s all about

Leaving the Honda Euro Meet 2018 felt like waking up from a perfect dream. The roads were quiet again. The sea of cars was gone. But the memories and the new friendships remained. It’s an event that truly embodies everything that is worth fighting for: your passion.
